About CDO

The MBA Career Development Office (CDO) is committed to building a bridge between students and employers through its integrated approach to career management. The CDO provides students with the guidance as well as tools and resources to meet their career aspirations. The following is an overall flow of career services provided by the CDO.

A series of career management and development activities are carried out from the start of the MBA study beginning with a career survey. Professional skill building workshops are incorporated into a one credit hour course format titled Business Communications.

Corporate Projects

Opportunities for corporate projects are provided for students in order to help them broaden their learning experience and gain practical hands-on experience. The companies the School has been doing the projects with for the past years are mostly securities firms and major manufacturing MNCs.

Projects can be carried out in teams or individually depending on the scope and size of the project. Extensive project papers are written and presentations are given to senior management. Students earn an added benefit of gaining exposure to influential executives for their career opportunities.

Career Assessment Tests

Career assessment tests related to career preference and aptitude such as MBTI and STRONG are offered through the Career Development Center of the University.

Guest Speaker Series

Renowned guests at the top management level are invited to give a speech for MBA students every month. Invited speakers in the past, to name a few, include the president of BMW Korea, Citibank Korea, Google Korea, Hana Daetoo Securities, Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency, and Franklin Templeton Korea. The invited speakers inspire MBA students and become a role model for their career aspirations.

In order to support corporations in need of excellent resources and employment of talented people, SNU Business SchoolĄ¯s MBA Career Development Office offers channels for both job seekers and recruiters by holding regular company information sessions and job fairs. In addition, the CDO offers CEO lectures, career development workshops and coaching for students.
